Privacy research and data storytelling project about Venmo’s public feed (200+ million public transaction from 2017) – made while a Media Fellow at the Mozilla Foundation, supported [in part] by a grant from the Open Society Foundations.

Wikimedia Foundation _ Multimedia Designer, Brand Studio/Communications
San Francisco, CA, USA & remote, 2019 – present

I use design and creative coding to support the mission of the Wikimedia Foundation (the nonprofit behind Wikipedia) of free knowledge for every single human being. The projects range from producing motion graphics, short videos about Wikimedia projects and the occasional social media post to showcasing, through data, the important role of Wikipedia as a reliable source of information amidst a global pandemic. For Wikipedia’s 20th birthday I designed and developed the web page about the movement behind the free encyclopedia.

Freelance Designer and Technologist

Supported the creative director at  TheGreenEyl with design and creative coding for interactive installations (e.g. Connective Field) and for web experiences (e.g. Midnight Commercial). Contributed to educational material on data privacy (“Our Data Our Selves” and “Exposing the Invisible”) for Tactical Tech Collective. Created web design for Discriminator, an interactive documentary about facial recognition databases by Brett Gaylor.

Front-End Development for clients and internal R/GA projects. Developed and co-designed an animated data visualization featuring Google Trends for the HQ office’s screens in New York.
